Paperwork. It’s one of those necessary evils that, while annoying, is actually really helpful. The best way to get started with your counseling is for me to have some information about you before we begin. Many of the details that I need to know can be gathered from the intake documents located on the “FORMS” page.
Ideally, you would be able to email the completed forms or drop them off at my office prior to our first meeting. Turning your forms in to me is the first step in communicating to me that counseling is a priority to you.
it is also your first vote of confidence in me as your therapist. As with anything discussed in therapy, information shared on your intake documents is kept strictly confidential.
Once I have reviewd your intake documents and done my own preparation for our first counseling session, it’s time for us to “get real” about the changes you are ready to make in your life.
