You Don’t Have to Hide to Be Loved
You’ve crafted a version of yourself that feels safe.
Likeable. Easy. Put-together.
You share—but only what’s digestible.
You reveal—but only what’s “appropriate.”
You stay agreeable. Manageable. Acceptable.
Because deep down, the fear lingers:
If they saw the real me—they’d leave.
Maybe that fear has roots.
You were vulnerable once, and someone used it against you.
Or no one ever made space for the messy parts.
So you learned: Better to be masked than to be rejected.
But here’s the truth that unlocks everything:
Love that only knows your mask will never satisfy.
Because to be loved… you must be known.
And when you hide, even the love you receive feels hollow—because you know it’s not for the real you.
Ask yourself:
What parts of myself have I decided are “too much”?
What would it feel like to risk being seen and still chosen?
Who in my life makes space for my full humanity?
You don’t have to be perfect to be loved.
You just have to be real.
Because the people who are meant for you won’t flinch at your depth.
